Crafting question

Hi all,

Okay I'm one of those people that love crafting.  I miss the old SWG of crafting gear for my shop and making things for other players.  I was able to mess with crafting a little bit during beta and I'm looking forward to it.  I do have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer too.  Will the gear that is crafted deteriorate?  I think I remember seeing during the beta that there was an area for repairing gear which gives me hope.

Reason I ask is most games lately make crafting feel like a second hand redheaded stepchild to the game.  Either the dungeon gear is better so they don't need crafters, or the items a crafter makes never break so they never need to be replaced.  It would be nice to be a crafter and have a purpose again.

when you die your gear loses some utility. It makes the character have to use repair kits and the armor loses potency. The armor wont fall off but you have to use repair kits, which are not crafting skill related.

You can repair at any merchant or buy repair kits.  Repair kits are one time use on one piece of gear only.  I tend to just repair at a merchant.  I might take some if going into a group dungeon or raid style deal to be sure I can repair on the fly as needed.

What I have managed to figure out about crafting it is worth it!

Don't mess with Mama Bear, I might hug you too tight. =D

Related to crafting but not to repair question. But will give a good idea of what crafting is like.

Looking around they have not addressed that from what I can see.

Yea from what I have read so far crafted items will rival or exceed the rares finds from dungeons which to me is great news.

From my limited time with it in beta I am really looking forward to doing more on release.
