My favorite character I have ever played in an MMO was my Hibby Ranger back in my days in DAoC. I am not sure if it is good or bad that I want to try and recreate that in TESO.
Thoughts on this?
Ideas for good strong PvP builds?
I am playing around with the builder on ESOHEAD. But, there is just soooo much to play with my head is a bit dizzy.

Having never played a hib ranger, I have no idea. But I do know that the character builds are very versatile, and you can do A LOT.
This is what I have so far. I am still not even 100% sure of this. It doesn't give you the 2nd hotbar to use. I am still trying to decide on second bar skills/weapons. Probably Duel Wield. Also the Calculator doesn't want to save Racial passives. But, I plan on maxing them out. I am going to try and pre-order the game so I can roll a wood elf in Ebon Heart. I know this sounds wrong, but they have the best racials for this archer/ranger type build I want to try.
Hello. Anyone that wants to play a Bowmen type I strongly recommend 2handweapon as your alt weapon set to swap too. The MOMENTUM ability.

heres a thought for you. Always think end result. level 35-50. build according to that.
sorc/archery
stam skills poison arrow (this will most likely be left off in high end levels)
arrow spray ( must have
snipe ( must have
magica skills unstable familiar ( for low end levels and pve, will be left off with pvp )
Rune prison
surge ( very important) can also be placed on swapped bar with momentum
bolt escape ( very important)
swapped alt 2hander, momentum, surge, daedric mines. ( sets a nasty trap according to your magica) with 25%-35% damage bonus on all your bow attacks for the following 12-14 seconds.

I was looking at Sorc beforehand, but I think I am going NB.
Any class can make a good archer. It really just depends on what support skills you want to have. All classes offer some form of magicka-based damage, buffs, cc, and other utility spells.
Also, keep in mind that some classes may start off weaker as an archer, but get stronger later as the skills you want become available.
I was thinking of making a night-blade archer with (haste, and Mark target) fast spamming of arrows, my 2nd hand of weapons are duel wielding and I can do a quick invis, combine with quick stabs. I believe its all up to you how you want to play the character..
I think Nightblade can make an excellent ranged/melee hybrid, no matter what melee weapon type you decide to use. They have some potent melee abilities, and a bunch of utility skills that are useful at any range.
Some of their melee abilities, like assassin's blade, can be morphed to work from range as well.
Also, the siphoning skill line can be used from range, which will allow you use some magicka-based damage or debuffs while using bow skills from a safe distance.
