I'm not sure why but this made me laugh. In the blacksmithing tree, the third passive skill is "Miner Hireling" and is described as:
- Tier 1: A miner hireling will send you ore and possibly other items every day.
- Tier 2: A miner hireling will send you more ore and possibly better items every day.
- Tier 3: A miner hireling will send you even more ore and possibly even better items twice a day!
It looks like Blacksmithing, Clothing, Woodworking, and Provisioning all have a hireling, though the description on the Cooking hireling specifically refers to the hireling being used when you go offline.
It'll be interesting to see if they send enough mats to make it worth putting skill points into them. Also, I wonder if they keep sending mats if you're offline for an extended period. If you go on vacation for a week, will you come back to 14 deliveries from your hireling (assuming you put 3 points into it)?
PS: I'm pulling this info from the calculators on esohead.com.
