Nice racial trait and role breakdown

I took a look at the Racial Bonus Comparison on Tamriel Foundry that was posted in the News and found it to be pretty useful. I'm not very TES savvy so I've been trying to get a better handle on all these races. I'm not suggesting that anyone should pick their race based on what's thought to be optimal for a role - it's just interesting to the racial bonuses and roles laid out this way. The only gap in the analysis is the lack of info on the Imerpial race bonuses since that's not out yet.

I haven't decided if I'm going tank or healer main this time around, but their analysis pretty much lines up with the role/race combinations I've been considering. With the pre-order giving the ability to cross faction lines (I like to think of it as individuals who disagree with their native factions and leave), it's nice that there's really no bar to picking your preferred combination.

Now, male or female characters this time? Hmmm... So many choices! ;-)

I'm wondering if this will be similar to EverQuest. I remember when I played that game certain class/race combo's were rare due to the racial stat differences and certain races were just better at certain classes. Will we see Altmer archers? Nord spellcasters? I wonder how much the racial differences will make at higher levels.

For the racial info to come out the last-ish sucks :P Now I'm having to resist the urge to change (again) the race that I plan on playing as those passive bonuses are very tempting ;)

Honestly I'd like for them to keep the bonuses small as to not create too many cookie cutter builds (although there's probably always going to be a "best-match" race to class).

There hasn't been a lot of information revealed about it, but the devs have said in interviews that there are "soft caps" past which bonuses get diminishing returns. I take that to mean that the folks who go after the cookie cutter "best-match" builds are going to be limiting themselves. Instead of getting the benefit of Racial+Armor+Class+Enchant to max out one stat, it might end up being better to spread it around.

I suspect a lot of the race-class combo's will be trying to max dsp or makica abilities, but I think game play will have a huge effect on the overall character pool.

Some combo's see coming ,

Redguard - Dragonknight  ( Because of the stamina regeneration nature of this combo )

Breton - Mage ( Because of the magika regeneration ability )

For myself I have a list of things I want to get, I plan to experiment with the classes by creating four characters

Dunmer - Templar  ( Because of the dps of the templar in the Aderic spear trait, I would use dual weapon. As this character progresses I would move more

towards a pure healer with a larger magika pool. But at least until 25th level I think this character will have to fight as a dps dealer, but I can use

all the trait upgrades to add alot of Magika at the expense of Health and Stamina )

As a balance too I found it really cool in the beta to use a templar with a bladed weapon that feeds off stamina and has the ability to deal damage with Aderic spear, what this does create a really cool dps fighter that uses stamina and magika to deal melee damage right away.  Much better then a pure fighter that uses just stamina, or a pure mage that uses just magika.  Although most character classes can split like this I just found it especially fun in the beta to do this.

As far as crafting I planned on using Armor/Weapon smithing skills.
