This Little Piggy

By: Aylune

While the members that composed this party usually went questing for glory this adventure was born from different desires. The mission was instead a mission of compassion, a quest to furfil a dying man's mumbled final words. The dying wish of an unfortunate alliance member who fell from the top of the thousand needles elevator.

The quest was different another way as well, instead of being safely nestled in alliance territory this mission sent the party into the heart of horde country. It sent them to a place so decrepit it earned the name "The Barrens." Here in the middle of the Hordes ravaged wasteland stood the home of the quillboar Razorfen Kraul.

The pigmen themselves were obviously an abomination. A primitive disgusting breed that would feel quite at home amongst horde territory. Honestly it is likely only a matter of time until the horde invites the quillboar into their ranks. The pigsty they called home would fit right in amongst the Hordes finest cities and capitals.

The Kraul itself was an awful place to venture. The den was dug out beneath an enormous briarthorn patch, creating a muddy mess with jagged thorned plants protruding throughout the halls. The dark moist cave barren of decor except for the bright pink tubers poking through the floor.

Several of the pigmen dwelling there had varying skills. Some formidable warriors, wielding axes and swords with the same acuarracy as one of our own, and some powerful shamans controlling the elements in ways only seen performed by powerful orcs before. Still the most formidable foe was not a pigmen. It was one of their tamed beasts

All throughout the den the party was tasked with killing the pigmen trained boars. The pets were of little concern until deep in the cave, in its own private warded tunnel, there the prize pig was found. Agathelos, the inscription called him, a giant rampaging boar the size of a small boat.

The mighty beast charged the party, enormous tusks goring the paladin holding the line. Yet with four strong men and their trustly steel the monster stood no chance. The paladin, warrior, and two rogues put the creature down before he could be released on the unsuspecting.

Once the pig was destroyed the party continued on cleaning up the mess they call Razorfen, culling the herd of quillboar that called the place home. They returned home unscathed, excusing the lingering smell from the hog pits.
