Things To Know Before Participating In Your First Large Gaiscioch Event

By: Akouna

You need to know how to use the Guild Rally System.
* For a complete explanation please see the article by Faiybella: How-to Use The Guild Rally System (for Porting Guildmates).

* Prior to the event it is essential to know is how to be ported to the Guild Rally Flag
* read the article by Fairybella!
* go the tavern on the east side of Sanctum and find Gilbert Hilberto (Guild Charter Magistrate at loc 7611, 3104).
* buy Rally Scrolls for 10 gold each. (Best get several if you can!)
* drag the Rally Scroll from you pack to your action bar just like you would a potion.
* now when someone puts up a Rally Flag you can port to it by clicking on the Rally Scroll on your action bar.

You need to know how to disable your PvP flag.

* Once again Fairbella has written an excellent article: How To Disable Pvp For A Pve-only Game Experience. Also If Your Raid Leader Asks You To.
* Please read this article.

* Here are the steps to disable the PvP flag:

* In the game press the ESC key to bring up the menu
* Choose:
* Settings
* Interface
* Combat
* Uncheck the PvP Autoflag
* Click Apply
* Now right-click on your character portrait and check PvP: Default -> Default

I HIGHLY recommend you set up Ventrilo so you can hear the group/raid leader's instructions. Do this even if you do not have a microphone! You can listen even if you can't talk. See my article on how to set up Vent.

* Fairybella has posted a very good guide: How-to Get the Most Enjoyment Out of Family Events, and Help Out Your Raid that you should read.
