Stop! Hammertime!

By: Aylune

Returning to cull the ancient ruins of fresh wave sof Invaders became a full time job for the crew. Anytime they left the ruins clear of anything except corpses more troggs and dwarves rushed to take their place. This return was spurred by rumors of Galgann Firehammer, a fierce dwarven warrior who brought with him swarms of geomancer dwarves to collect the countless riches still left behind.

Varder the fearless tank, Yobam the raging warrior, Aylune the anxious healer, and Tenaka the calm Hunter decided to take action to remove Firehammer from the city by any force necessary. Determined to have a fifth member of their party they turned to the willing and helpful soldiers of Azeroth where they found their mage. A mage with imense arcane ability and clearly parents with both the ability to see the future and an intense sense of irony, since they named her Distance after the one trait she would most lack.

The geomancers raiding the underearthed treasures were a tricky threat. They were prone to dropping firey magics which injured all nearby party members, and very frequently took aim at the healer while safely out of the tanks reach.

Normally those around the tank were well equipped to take a few hits, heavy plate or thick leather protecting them from harm. Distance was not so fortunate. The mage was determined to stay in the thick of the action, frequently charging into battle alongside our brave tank. Her sheer magical ability to do harm and her relatively unarmored body made her a target of wood proportions, and the enemies turned to her with an alarming frequency. Despite best efforts, the healer was unable protect the mage from herself and she fell many times, although strong spiritual willpower always brought her soul back to her tired and beaten body.

Somehow, through several mage corpse runs, the team found their way to Galgann Firehammer, rather tall for a dwarf with a long braided beard singed by the fires for which he was known, his hands and forearms blacked with dust and ash.

The battle began quickly. Firehammer was not a man to mince words before a fight, he was a man of action ordering his men to battle. His inner circle was comprised predominantly of geomancers, the dwarven mages most adept at their firey earthen magic.

Varder fought valiantly. Standing strong before the onslaught, taking blow after blow so that his comrades would not have to.

Yobam struck hard, swinging wildly at the short men surrounding him. His body a cyclone of activity as he fought.

Distance fought against their wicked earthen magic with a wild magic of their own, throwing herself into danger to explode with an arcane burst, burning the dwarves as they burned her.

Tenaka the hunter kept a Keen eye open, using his ferocious feline companion and his Deadshot aim to quickly strike down any patrolling geomancers that made their way into the fight.

The fight progressed, the air hot, steamy, and thick with the essence of the arcane. The smell of burning flesh and wood filled the cavern as did the screams from the ensuing battle. Until Firehammer fell like all the others before him.

If one thing was made clear, when it comes to Uldaman, if evil shows up it blows up.
