Shopping, Not For The Faint Of Heart...

Imagine my surprise when a trip to the bazaar turned out to be a bloodbath! Things are very different here in Stormreach, but we survived the slaughter, although I think we will never see a "bazaar" in the same light again.

I've found some friends here that seem to think like me in many ways, if you can imagine that. They are an adventurous lot, from many different backgrounds. Some like to take their time and "smell the roses," while others like to run full-gallop through our little adventures in the countryside. We are trying to find a happy medium that includes everyone's tastes, but that can be hard, as you are aware after raising all thirteen of us. How did you do it?!?

I must tell you that one of my new friends is a changeling. She takes the form of a wolf quite often, but appears to be an elf at other times. I believe she is a worshiper of nature, although her devotions are private. She is not a mean soul, like Goombah told us changelings must always be, and she has saved my life on more than one occasion, as have all of my new-found friends. This is a dangerous place, and kobolds seem to just be the "tip of the snake's tail," so having friends has been a boon. We even met a Silver Dragon, although we didn't see him in dragon form, thank goodness. Still, you could tell he was a dragon, all silvery and scaley and wordy.

I'm sending some gems by another protected courier, to help with Trucen's training at the academy. Has he blown up any more cows lately? Tell him I really like my hair this color, so stop fretting about it. Ha!

P.S. I found Pytic in a local dive, wagering and winning on his knife-throwing skills. He really is quite good with the blades, like Papa. I told him to write home, and he promised he would.
