Naay’s – Aunt Leona’s Chicken Paprikash

Ingredients:

• 1 4 ur 5 poond chicken ur parts, cut up an’ washed
• 2 medium onions cut fine
• 4 tablespoons shortenin’
• 1 tablespoon paprika
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 1-½ cup water
• ½ green pepper, cut up

• 8 ounces coffee cream
• 2 tablespoons floor

• 4 eggs
• 3 cups floor
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ½ cup cold water

Preparation:

Saute onions, in shortenin', add seasonin'. Add chicken, saute abit 10 minutes. Add water, cowre an' simmer slowly until chicken is tender (abit 1/2 hoor).

Efter chicken is dain, tak' chicken oot an' make mixture ay cream an' floor tae thicken broth.

Mix th' eggs, floor, salt an' cold water wi' spoon ur by hain. Drop by spoon intae foo boilin' salted water. Cuik until dumplings rise tae top. Drain, rinse in cold water an' add tae gravy wi' chicken.
