AC Path One After Patch.

By: Gideon

With the help of a more seasoned Guild member and dungeon runner we were able to claim victory over the catacombs, but not before hitting the brick wall that was the howler. The howler engagement has changed completely. I felt confident going in that I knew the path we had chosen well enough to lead our guild group to victory. After wiping 3 or 4 times on the howler I no longer felt confident. We had a good group though and our persistence paid off. We figured out the new strategy for the fight and after a couple tries had him down. The howler now spawns an army of adds that must be avoided at all costs as well as the Howler's own screaming laser beam of doom that now reaches across the whole room. He also screeches and causes confusion which can quickly lead to a world of hurt. Random rings of fire pop up around the room. These are you saving grace and your doom should you find yourself standing in one. Lead Howler and his minions into these flaming rings and you'll be well on your way to defeating this baddie. So in a nutshell; kite the boss, kite the adds, keep the whole group moving using the whole of the room whilst leading the adds and the boss through the fiery rings, and avoid the Howler's 2 devastating howls. Its now a hectic fight, but definitely keeps you on your toes.
