A Mighty Hammer

By: Aylune

It was after the tight knit crew defeated what they thought was the last of Uldamans Invaders that they began to seek out new challenges. With word of their exploits traveling far and wide it was not surprising their next task began from a place on the other side of the world.

Zul Farak had been freshly discovered. A large ruined temple in the heart of the desert just Northwest of Gadgetzan. With a new discovery always came new adversaries, and new rumors. One such rumor sparked great interest in the party, the rumor of a mighty hammer which would summon a terrific beast which the defeat of would promise eternal glory.

The party followed the rumors, many of which led them to The Hinterlands, despite the hunter Tenaka's insistence they seek out leads in the burning steepes. It was in the Hinterlands that they inevitably found success.

While most trolls roaming the Hinterlands were common savages this task led them to more danger. Deep in the forests south of the Wildhammer clan was a fortress of skilled trolls, dangerously talented in the art of warfare.

Together the five of them brought death upon them, desecrating their sacred troll temple steps with the blood of the fallen. Bearch led the way, his large intimidating form drawing the trolls into battle, while brave warriors Varder and Yobam hacked and slashed them to pieces.

The first piece of the puzzle came from a priestess well versed in the shadow arts at a lesser temple. Her one gaurd was a ferocious protector, but was not enough to fight off the bloodlusted party. As the priestess lay motionless on the marble the group pillaged an ornate bronze hammer and began their quest east to complete their mission, providing the rumors were true.

To the east the real challenge laid in wait. The true champions of the trolls resided within the tall walls of this temple, the insides of which could only be described as a deathtrap. The architecture here forced the party into a straight line, leading them into a gauntlet of tusked foes. Battle after battle resulted, the crew struggling to search for the fabled altar in-between bloodbaths.

It was all the very end of the towerign walls they found it, a simple stone by a cliffside by the sea, gaurded by warriors, hounds, and a priestess much more skilled then the prior judging by her many pendants.

Some clever and sneaky pulls were in order, but one by one the party led the gaurds away and massacred them in silence until only the priestess was left completely unprotected. She too fell like all her brethren, her body crumpling beside their goal.

Shaking with excitement Aylune brought the ornamental hammer forward, resting it against the alter and chanting a small prayer to the goddess. The shifting of runes and a faint glow the only sign it worked in the aftermath.

Excited, she reached forward and grabbed the mighty hammer once more, struggling to hold up it's sheer weight, but excited for the adventures it was sure to bring.
