i am not sure of the implications or how to's but was just wondering....
Is it possible to have a dagger group in raidcall on their own channel, a "supply raiders" group in another raidcall channel, and the main zerg in the borderlands channel with each Leader in all THREE channels. What i am thinking is having the main zerg leader (leader of the event) have total control of their channel while getting imput from their dagger leader and strike team leader without having to channel hop? This will allow the members of dagger channel to communicate with their leader without taking up "talk time" space in the main zerg channel while still allowing the leader of dagger to communicate with the zerg leader.
I have done this in the past using multiple voip programs like vent/mumble each one having its own push to talk command so you don't speak on all at once. The main issue is that the leaders of each group need to be able to listen to each channel and speak in each channel for full communication and organization. I am not sure how raidcall works as this is the first time i have used it but wonder if something can be set up to allow this idea.
The reason i think this would be useful is not for the main zerg but for the small groups that are coordinating with them. When out in a smaller force you need all available eyes and a quick verbal queue to survive, ie enemies coming from beind to pinch, or enemies flanking are all things you would want to know fast over chat. The problem is that if dagger or another small group in in the main zerg channel and they try to communicate it confuses some people and is unnessesary voice chat in that channel. With this all i am trying to do is bring up some ways to increase the clear communication between groups and eliminate voice chatter in the main zerg channel.
I would love to hear more about this from all of you who are more experienced in this whole massive scale warfare enviorment than i am. I come from wow where i loved the smaller battles and everybody in the chat channel spoke at the battle before them (less confustion).
Please note also that i used the distinction of dagger squad being what fog describes it as -the elite small group that has experience working together and regularly take on the impossible. The other small group (whatever we call them) is the group of people that just hit supply camps and recap supply camps over and over. I was in a group yesterday, with kraas leading, that was probably the most fun i have had and all we did was take and retake supply camps over the entire map. We were even lucky enough to take longview by ourselves (group of 6 of us) when the opportunity presented itself.
I love this stuff and can't wait until we are all working like a well oiled machine that just steamrolls the competition. Sorry for the long post and if it seemed like i rambled :)
