Having cooking be so different than the other crafting skills makes me want to learn it now. I'm usually not into the "alchemy" type of professions.

i liked this guide cause it explained for really good how the discovery tab works before the guide it was always abit difficult to understand but now it should be fine just w8ting for the next bwe ^^

I'm excited about the crafting aspect as well. I haven't been a crafter in most games but with this one I'm definitely going to give it a go. The other night I was watching those videos and it got me really interested.

the only crafting proffesion in my opinion wich is not as hard but still very difficult is the jeweler sinceu dont know all the recepies but there are sites for it

only thing i dont like is that cooking considered a major crafting, but i guess i am just used to how it was done in wow.

Also from what I saw in the game cooking looks like it will use alot of mats that you can only get from a vendor using gold or karma. Also the NPC chef trainer asks you if you are sure about learning the craft as it is gold and karama dependant. Makes me think that cooking might cook up some good things. What do you think?

I got to 124 cooking this weekend and discovering for it is very space intensive. It also makes some pretty great buffs like 15 health per second, + magic find, + 20 healing +10 power, and others. You can stack some of the buffs although I haven't figured out which (I think you can stack a soup, meal and desert at the same time). It definitely looks like a lot of fun.

I am hoping, though, that they add ground spawnable feasts that an entire raid can use. Distributing food via mail could get old.

I've seen these crafting videos and have a question for knowledgable GW folks.

Is there anything out there that gives me a good breakdown of all the different choices I can pick from? From this video I get an idea of how crafting works in game but not necessarily the pros and cons of all th different crafting options. And the pros and cons are what I'm looking for. Because frankly I don't know them =)
