Good news from the ESO forum. Let's keep reporting and do our bit to help clean ESO up!:

This is great news! I actually have personally only encountered two Bots. Both were reported instantly. I must say ZOS is doing a fantastic job at acting on our reports both with cheaters and gold sellers. Keep up the good work!
Yeah, but be warned. This does not come without its price, if you give someone else a large sum of gold, you can find yourself on that banned list. I have seen several "Please unban my partner" posts on the forum.
Well, I have seen bots in almost every public dungeons I have visited: groups of characters waiting motionless until the boss spawn to activate, or repeatidly shooting spells at it's future location regarding of the boss presence or not. I have reported them, pulled bunch of NPCs on them, pulled the boss away from them anytime I could, but I am certainly happy to see ZOS taking action - At $50 per account this is good money for them :-)
It would be so helpful if they implemented an anti-farming code like the old Guild War: After killing the same boss a few times in short sequence one only gets trash loot - I don't mind farmers one bit as long as they are players - I don't like bots...

I'm glad to know all those gold seller reports in submitted where of help! Gold sellers will be the ruin of Tamriel and must be stopped!
I was doing some farming in Bleak Rock last night and did not encounter one bot! The night before I was constantly experiencing these "ghosts" landing on my head near a node of some kind. Glad to see they are taking action so quickly!
Good news. Though I've also seen a lot of reports of people being banned for sending money between characters or to friends (for a horse, for example), so for the time being it may be wise to be careful with large transfers of gold.
Steerpike,
As far as I am aware you can't send money to one of your alts - it has to go into your bank and then you withdraw it. So this shouldn't be an issue.
Giving it to a friend to hold for you - then they send it back - or just sending it to a friend our of kindness might prove an issue but I would have to imagine it would have to be quite a large sum since so much selling goes on in zone chat.
I am just shy of 40 reports on gold spammers as of yesterday. Mainly through in game mail the last 2 days - but I still report them. It was bad at the beginning of GW2 also - then they got a handle on it - I am hoping ESO can do the same.
Oh I've encounterd a lot of bots by a lot i talking 60+ reported every single one of them I give them a courtesy hello no responds after a min and I see them still moving doing there thing I report.
nice stuff! I have reported a pile of botters and goldspammers. Good to see it doesn't fall on deaf ears.
I'd take those "unfair ban" reports with a grain of salt. Its like prison: They're all full of innocent people.
You're not going to get banned for sending "a friend" a few thousand gold... unless you do it several times and it raises a suspicious flag. Have a little faith in their investigative process; those teams always ensure that the incident investigation was thorough and fair before they permanently lock an account, which is why it takes them a bit to take action on reports of obvious shenanigans.
Zenimax has actually admitted to a mistake in the bans. If your read the forums you will see many guild leaders/officers got swept into this by mistake due to the activities they perform in game mail and support the members with purchases of items such as a horse.
While I have faith that Zenimax will do everything in their power to make things right, mistakes do in fact happen. They are incredibly overwhelmed right now with 85% of their customer service tickets being around black market activity.

INFORMATION ON RECENT ACCOUNT BANS
ZOS_JoBurba Administrator, Moderator admin April 19 edited April 19 in Official News & Patch Notes Staff Post
As part of our continuing effort to combat gold spammers, botters and exploiters, we recently banned a number of accounts. After several players appealed, we were able to investigate the matter further and discovered some legitimate accounts got caught up in the sweep. We unbanned accounts last night, and have email responses going out for those affected from our support group. It is never our intention for legitimate players to be harmed as we work to keep your game free of cheaters, and we sincerely apologize for the mistake.
