Interesting, I'll give these a good look later, but I noticed off the bat that he's actually splitting his attributes up, which something a lot of folks don't do. I used to throw all of my points into health like everyone, but when they dropped respec prices last week, I reset everyone for a more even distribution, too. Glad to see someone making build videos doing it too.
Yep atm on dirk i am basicly using his build but instead of flashes i am using eclispe atm and instead of 5 med and 2 light , i am running 3 light , 2 med and 2 heavy .
I also have my att split , he is only 34 so i have 8 in mag, and stam and rest in health without any food he has around 1100 mag, 1080 stam, and almost 1400 hp .
27 weapon crit, 20 spell crit wearing normal crafted armor , and using warr mundus stone atm .
I i got 5 hundreing and 3 night mothers , with neck, both rings warlock, should easy add another 12 crit to both still debating on which mundus crit while nice , normaly iffy in pvp in games with anti-crit stats on gear normally power does better for overall damage , but depends how much impentrate negates etc .
but its a very fun build .so far .
I have to be honest though, the hybrid builds do make me nervous compared to the pure magicka builds. I find that I really have to watch what I load onto my bars and how much I can spam it. I'm thinking that 4/3 armor type builds will actually work better for hybrids, than the 5/2 builds.
yep atm i`m playing around with 3 light , 2 med 2 hvy, however before that i was running a 4/3 split instead of the normal 5/2 most run
I perfer a hybrid type build instead of mostly a staff/skirt caster build , it is a bit more risky as its not as easy but that makes it more fun , you can`t just spam stuff or your hosed . req more thinking it your playstyle with for me is more enjoyable .
i1ll mostlikley go back to 4/3 but gona keep this set up for a few lvls and see how it does .
I am doing 5 light and 2 heavy... the medium armor really does nothing for my Sorc - I rarely sneak except just before I charge, I rarely actually use physical attacks although I swing my weapon - that is more for show :) and my two stam skills aren't too draining.
With using Lightning Form I hit soft caps in armor and spell protection as it is. I have thought about more heavy armor but unless I do something wrong I don't drop below 50% health to worry about more health regen or actual armor. In AvA the saving grace is running with Shield Defense up as well - but the stam it uses refreshes well before it is used. Reflecting spells back at Mage Guards is just awesome!
I do need magicka to be able to keep up my Lightning Form though as it is my biggest savior.
I'm a fan of all or nothing in attributes. I'd rather do something really well instead of two things with lesser effectiveness. Jack of all trades, master of none is no good to me.
The vids are interesting, nonetheless.
but that is what a hybrid is able to do multiple things well but not as good as a pure class ,
if i wanted to be a healbot , or be all magic caster ablities then yes i`d go 5 light , and 2 heavy and play as a viligent of stendaar heavy gaunts and boots rest light armor .
in that set up i use a rest staff and a 1h mace /shield but don`t really use any of the 1h /shield ablities other than the passives and maybe shield charge .
but then i have always played hybrids in every mmo since 99 as i find them more fun if i get bored of this i`ll go back to my vil of stendarr build that was fun also but i missed getting into melee heh
Yeah, I stumbled across this guy a few weeks back when looking to see what other templars rolled with in PVP. Very informative and covers his strategy very well.
i changed up his build a bit and got rid of the bow , basicly i`m using a mix of his build and darkardine build .
using light belt, cloaked hood, gloves , hp on hood, magik on belt and gloves , med boots and shoulders stam on both , heavy legs and chest , stam on legs magik on chest , att split 20 hp end result 14 mag and stam . jewelry warlock focus two warlock signets .
Armor 4 hundring rage , 3 night mothers gaze . 2h greatsword night mother gaze may switch this to hundring rage ., 1h/shield sword hundring rage , shield night mother gaze . hp on shield
all gear imprentable trait (for pvp) use something else for pve . weapons sharpened trait . mundus stone the apprentice .
1st bar 1h/shield
vamp bane , blazing shield , purifying ritual , blinding flashes . breath of life . ultimtate whatever you like support or damage like nova etc or rite , soul assualt etc .
swap out blinding flashes or vampsd bane etc as needed to add support , purge, ava skill or lingering ritual, rune focus etc .
2nd bar . 2h
toppling charge , Excuitior , puntching sweep, unstable core (spell reflect with explode aoe dam )
lumious spear (magik and stam ticks plus stun disorienate ) ultimate cresent sweep
all weapon passives for 2h and 1h/shield and armor passives except the ones that give bonus for 5 armor equiped ..
very fun build a 4/3 armor split may be better but playing around with 3/2/2 atm .
