Siwan - (SHOO-ahn) "bright as the sun"; from sul "sun" + gwen "shining, holy"; Welsh form of Joan.
She had been found in the locked cellar of a small mansion south of Felde, unconscious and badly bruised. There was no indication that she had lived there, and the place had been deserted since the release of the plague.
A bright tattoo of the familiar twin-tailed comet on her cheek and the robes she wore were enough for the soldiers that found her to identify her as a Sigmarite priestess. They had carried her back to the camp where she awoke several days later with no memory of her past.
“It will come back when you are ready†she was told by the priest who called her Siwan.
He had found a letter in her pocket that began with “My dearest Siwan,†The page had been ripped, and the few lines left offered her no more clues to her identity. She would stay with the troop for now. Once her strength was recovered she wanted to go back to the mansion and have a look around for herself.
