Encounter In High Pass Part 2

By: Kalad

The ring of clashing steel echoed off of the canyon walls. Lion claws were batted at the Chosen, and he viciously attacked the Elf. The battle was even, it was clear. Every parry was countered, and the combatants' fight raged on. Unfortunately, it was against Kalad's nature to witness a fight and not participate.

The fires of Kalad's inner magics glowed around him. Suddenly, the air was filled with the stink of brimstone. Grasping the winds of Aqshy, he released a scorching blast at the Chosen. Hitting him square in the chest, the fireball knocked him flat on his back. Kalad then quickly followed with a spell to heat the weapon in the Chosen's hand, quickly disarming him as the weapon scalded his hands.

The skirmish was nowhere close to being fair now. The pair quickly finished the worshipper of Chaos, and the battle ended as swiftly as it had begun.

Wiping the blood of his greataxe, the White Lion thanked Kalad.
"I am greatful for your assistance, Wizard. I am Taerun, White Lion of the High Elves."

"It would be a sad day when allies wouldn't fight alongside one another," said Kalad.

"Very true. I travel to Reikland to continue the fight for the cause of Order. May I ask you your name, traveler?" Taerun continued.

"I am Kalad, Wizard of the Bright Order of Altdorf. Might I ask if I could accompany you on your journey?" Asked Kalad.

Agreeing to the companionship, the two set off through the canyon. Unbeknownst to either of them, the pair would become the best of friends, and share stories that would be sung in Dwarven halls for years to come.

*This is just one of the many stories of Kalad's adventures*
