Happy Holidays from the world of Azeroth (and the space goat home planet*)!
Since opening the Social Adventure on May 2nd, we have really come together as a group and accomplished a lot of in game achievements that many guilds never finish like “Stay Classy”. We have successfully completed every single dungeon and raid in older content in guild groups (three exceptions that still require vanilla 40 man completion). In other words, in only six months we have devoured twelve years of content and survived an expansion launch.
More importantly, we have developed some friendships within Gaiscioch and made memories that will last a lifetime.
I encourage anyone in the guild to use the in game calendar to schedule events. It is your best tool for getting guildmates together for content, along with just being in Discord and talking to folks.
With the Holiday’s upon us I know many people’s schedules will be a bit unusual, so after this Sunday’s LFR I am going to suspend that event until January. If someone would like to organize a guild LFR each week please step up and do so! Personally, I am going to be splitting my playtime with Rift going forward and my Sunday night livestreams will be Rift oriented to help grow that Chapter.
Finally, we have a great set of volunteers who help Admin in game. Each one of them goes out of their way to keep the invites flowing and questions answered. However, none of us are perfect and sometime we get whispers to invite when on raids, in dungeons, etc and we can make mistakes.
It is every player’s responsibility to make sure that when they are invited their Gaiscioch name is in their public note on the roster. If you get an invite, please give the person inviting you your Gaiscioch name, not your RealID or “main” character’s name. Remember, if you are whispering an admin through RealID, we can only see the name you set on your Battlenet account and that is rarely the same as your “Main” name or Gaiscioch name. It gets REALLY confusing for us. Add to that many folks have yet a different Discord name…yeah, you get it. So unless you whisper us your Gaiscioch name, we really have no idea who we are talking to.
Happy Holidays to all :) I know not every's schedule will be affected, but for many of us it will be feast or famine on free time until the New Year. I hope everyone has a happy and safe Holiday season.
