Greetings Everyone,

This weekend we will be giving the guild system a test run. Those of you that have entered your ESO ID from the beta servers into your profiles will receive invites to "Gaiscioch". We will be limited to 500 people so first successfully filled out properly first serve. 

Additionally I will be hosting a ClubGaiscioch in AvA on Friday night at 11PM PST - 2AM PST. I will announce the campaign shortly after we get the guild created. Be sure not to jump into AvA before hand. 

Additionally this weekend's beta Guild will be Ebonheart Pact only. Being this is a test run we need to ensure that all 500 people are ebonheart. Don't worry though, when the game goes Headstart we will have all 5 rooms open and all factions will be welcome. For the purposes of this test we will be trying to max out a room with all same realm players. 

One of our big goals here this week is to try to cap the system and find out what happens to the "Others" that were invited before it capped. In GW2 it removes those invites. We need to find out what happens in ESO. 

Additionally we can begin making our presence known in the world and see what type of players we can attract by our actions.

The first test of a Gaiscioch Member is the initiative to join. If they don't seek us out on their own, then they are not at a place where their ready to be a Gaiscioch. Every Gaisicoch Member chose to be here, they were not asked to be here. It must be their choice.

Very nice to hear. Looking forward beta weekend.

  I will be on ESO and Raidcall this weekend.  Still have to get a lvl 10 due to my unending experimenting with different builds.  Also my kids have a busy weekend ahead.  But I will be on and hope to try out dungeons and hopefully some AvA with you guys.  My user name is @shyster000 and my current toons are on EP named Phaewolf Dearg, Phaewulf Dearg, Phaedin Dearg, and Phaedimus Dearg.  All lvl 5 and 6 atm.  Look me up in game and on raidcall and let's get at it.

I remember you saying something about the ESO IDs in the all-hands meeting last month.  Is that something we have access to now?  If so, where do I find it?

Nice I was wondering about the guilds size after launch, and this definitely answers that a little.  I am assuming that the five rooms will be separate guilds at launch, possibly one for each faction and the extra two for probably whichever faction has excess.   Only curious is all, since I am still new to the family.  I probably won't be able to make the AvA event but I will try my best to test again if I can get time, and would love to group and test out things with the guild but sadly my ebonheart characters on the test server are only like lvl two, as I spent more time playing around on a Breton last beta to group with so e friends who really were not online when I was around.  I will probably fool around on the Templar when I can and see what I can gather from that build for launch.  I will however be on raid all this weekend when I do get to play. Guess that means I better get cracking on my painting tonight and this paper tomorrow for class hehehe.

• Guild Cap is 500 People
• 5 Rooms = 4 Core Rooms + 1 Activity Room
  These will not be faction specific. I am not going to try to maintain the family on 3 separate fronts. That is why we have declared Ebonheart Pact our primary faction for all family activities. If you choose to play one of the other factions you will not be relying on the family to run events for you, you will be exploring it with others like yourself. Our focus as a family is going to be on Ebonheart Pact.
  
  We have it broken into 4 core rooms of 450 people per room + 20 Elders + 30 Floating for invites (Non Accepted). This is so that we can continue to welcome more people into the family as the game progresses. That will allow 1,800 actove players to join the family before things get ugly. 

Be sure to read last months Ceannard Notes as it covered a lot of the details and it is by far the most important newsletter I've sent to date regarding ESO.

awesome, thanks.  I was just curious how we were going to put 1000 people into a 500 guild in game is all, yet alone 1800 that you mentioned, and I don't think I was around for that newsletter so I will look into it.

My understanding, or interpretation, of what I've read and what was talked about during the family summit, is that the "activity room" will be for the most active members (you need to be on once a week?) and the other 4 rooms house everyone (including the members of the activity room?) who has been active in the last... I forget how long but I think somewhere between 1 and 3 months. Someone will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong, but that was how I understood it. 

I'm very excited for this. I have been looking forward to ESO and my first outing with Gaiscioch for some time. Now it is finally becoming real!

I'm looking forward to this weekend! Currently playing Daggerfall Covenant during beta weekends so that Ebonheart story will be new! I will definitely be open to playing with anyone else in the guild!

Have to work Saturday so unfortunately I can't stay up to the wee hours of the morning having fun in AvA.  Will probably play another alliance so I keep EP brand new for launch.  Looking forward to April so I can finally play with everyone.

So for this weekend i've managed to get a leadership system in place for AvA and for the public dungeon Crows Nest. I will be working at adding the other dungeons but I wanted to make sure 1 worked first before doing them all. You can also claim Dark Anchors and Group Boss events in the open world.

Remember leaders. To claim participation you need at least 4 Gaiscioch or Tuatha under your leadership. Solo events will not be available in this system.

I should be in the beta for most of the weekend.  I'm new to the guild and am looking forward to discovering ESO and you folks as well.

I'll be rolling  a new Ebonheart character for this beta.  It should be fun!

OMG another large patch, looks like I am going to have to be up late tonight, again. Will see you all in Beta, providing the download ever finishes. I have just over 9 hours for it to finish, fingers crossed, since everyone and his brother seems to be downloading the patch at this time, lol.

Well my slow download got through the first 20.9 gigs of stuff and wound up with a metafile error.  Only way to deal with that is close the launcher and restart again per answer on their support page.  Of course, if it still messes up after that then you get to call them.  ::smirks:: 

Anyway, I'm back at having 18 gigs to DL.  With it taking 2 days on the first try, I highly doubt I'll be in the beta this weekend.  

i was getting an error with the patch.. I ended going to 'game options' > 'settings' and set Auto Update to Never. Then I ran it through a Repair cycle. After that it updated fine. This was with the game settings in the middle of the launcher not on the topbar (which doesn't give an option to repair).  Hope it helps anyone else having troubles. & Hopefully it keeps working this weekend. - M.

I think the option to repair is still there in the new launcher, it is just hidden. You have to click on the gear icon next to the name of the server now. You get a popup with options, that should include update and repair.
