2024 Gaiscioch for Extra Life Charity Event

This weekend we kick off this year's charity event. This year we'll be forming up for adventures in Throne & Liberty, Conqueror's Blade, Guild Wars 2, Once Human, The First Descendant, Ale & Tale Tavern, and Void Crew. We host this 3+ day livestream each year to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. This is our 14th year participating and we look forward to making the most of this year's event. This is a great opportunity to help kids have a second chance at making epic memories of their own and also a great way to get to know community members.

Foghladha Experiences A True Slovak Adventure

As the adventure goes, every great adventure has a wealth of trials that drive you to push past your comfort zone and explore parts of you that were long dormant or unseen. During this trip, I ventured across the seas to a far-off land that I knew very little about. A place where I didn't understand the language and far away from the routines of my world.

As the nights grow longer and shadows deepen, it’s time to sharpen those blades, don your spookiest armor, and prepare for an epic Halloween across the Gaiscioch realms! This year, we’re not just passing out candy—we’re taking on haunted dungeons, facing spectral foes, and probably screaming just a little too much. Whether you’re haunting Tyria in Guild Wars 2, braving the unknown in Throne & Liberty, clashing with the undead in Conqueror's Blade, diving into dark realms in Elder Scrolls Online, or unraveling cursed mysteries in New World, we've got spine-tingling events lined up in every chapter. So grab your favorite pumpkin-spiced elixirs and join us—if you dare!

Want to give a special shout-out to those members who are helping enable our community to do great things. Their financial support has allowed us to expand the tools at our disposal and maintain the community without burning a hole in my personal savings. While a still do pay a bit out of pocket their contributions have prevented me from having to work side gigs to keep us afloat and for that, I am eternally grateful. It's at a manageable level I am comfortable with. Without these Patreons, you'd be seeing a lot less of me. Thank you for keeping me in-game and focused on growing our community.

I wanted to take a moment to say congratulations to a few members this month for accepting their next credo and stepping into a new role in our family.

Guardians (Seaimpín)

The Gaiscioch Family Guardians are an advanced part of the Veteran Members group and serve as the front line of our family. They help newer members learn about the family, our website, and our belief system. They occasionally will need to help get conversations back on track, or report misdoing's to the family elders. They act as advisors, guidance providers, and overall protectors of the family name. By this time a member should be involved in the family for more than 6 months and has been an active attendee in family events. For those who prefer fellowship over leadership this is the last stop on the family tree. Members must prove their leadership ability to progress to the Leadership ranks through the accumulation of both Valor Points (Earned through leading events.) as well as earning Tokens of Valor from lower ranked members of the family.

Veteran Members have proven their devotion to the family by participating in events and contributing to the family's success. They have been active more than 90 days and have continued to be contributing members to the family.

Over the past 2 seasons, we have aimed to become better fighters. Hone our skills as warriors and learn to step up and defend ourselves with ruthless vigor. With the help of Secret and the iKingdom we have had two seasons of cutting our teeth of the flesh of warfare. This season we take back the reigns and search for a way to take what we learned and apply a Gaiscioch style to it.

Growing Pains, and Guild Boss Trains! Throne & Liberty Brings New Challenges to the Community

Gaiscioch has launched our adventure into Throne and Liberty on the Helpie Server. Initially, we launched into 4 guilds which filled up nearly immediately. As the initial wave has subsided and things are becoming more settled we've made some adjustments to help streamline the process. In this post, I'll outline our current setup to help you get to where you need to be and know what to expect.

Potential Adventure Roundup - November 2024 Edition

I plan to present new games that might catch players' interest by utilizing Discord voting. Each month I will post a series of games that have popped up in conversations or in our feeds for your review whether or not you'd join an adventure in that game. If the number of votes exceeds 10 (11 votes) we'll add the adventure to the system. Over the years we've had a lot of adventures pop up because it looked like people would be interested in playing only to have them fizzle out before the game even got off the ground. I'm hoping this new system will help keep our adventures focused on games people actively want to play together. Be sure to check out our latest batch and cast your vote in our #polls channel.
