Gaiscioch for Extra Life (G4EL) 2024
November 1-3rd, 2024

Save the date and prepare for what looks like one of the best years we've seen for Extra Life in the past decade. Things are shaping up to be quite an enjoyable year in gaming and we're already stocking up the calendar with some amazing games we look forward to showing off to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network.

The Problem with the Obsession over Steam Chart Numbers.

In the past few years, I have seen a trend with the gaming press and MMO players. They watch the active player counts to determine if a game is good or not. We typically see a huge spike at launch and then over the next 3-6 months a steep decline followed by server merges. This naturally happens to any MMO.

This month Foghladha is going to launch an event series that focuses on the 4 different expansions within Guild Wars 2. Featuring Meta Events & Mastery Points in Heart of Thorns, Bounties and Masteries in Path of Fire, Meta Events & Masteries in End of Dragons, and Rifts and Convergences in Secrets of the Obscure. Now that the Trading Post is in my rearview and I've gotten things working again in New World it's time to get this party started again. I will be relaunching my Monday at 4 PM PT event focused on socializing, treasure hunting, and exploration. Join me for a weekly romp through various content as we share laughs and stories and make a few new memories along the way.

The Gold Road has been Announced!

Launching on June 8th, The Gold Road features a new zone, storyline, Scribing system, rewards, and more, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is now available for pre-purchase on all platforms. This new Chapter takes you to West Weald, a region situated on the borders of Cyrodiil, the Gold Coast, and Valenwood. Those Elder Scrolls fans who played 2006’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion might be familiar with this part of Tamriel, including its capital city of Skingrad.

Monday Night Casually Social Exploration with Foghladha

Starting in February on Mondays at 6 PM PT, I plan to launch a new event series centered around various dungeons and quest hubs in various regions. I hope to travel across Tamriel completing each and every dungeon and quest hubs to help catch new players up with the rest of the team. If you're new to Elder Scrolls Online or just want to level up that new alt this is the perfect opportunity.

A Vibrant Season Filled with Twists and Turns

This season so far has been entertaining. We've been hit a few times and turned those attacks into diplomatic momentum that has since turned them all blue lines. We have secured the southern borderlands and a wracking up the points for as long as we can. By the time you read this, the final stages of the season will have begun and we will be fortifying up our borders in anticipation for the final land rush where we will be hit. Depending on how well we do will determine what we end with.

Gaiscioch takes the Championship in its First Season of Blood of Steel

Over the past 3 months, we've been playing a little MMORTS War simulator called Blood of Steel made by a small indie studio out of China. While the game lacked in polish and stability it certainly had charm with its unique gameplay mechanics. We grew to include over 75 players over our 3 months and marched from the coast to the capital on a slow and steady progression. We toppled the reigning champion "The Beaches" and seized the capital after 4 attempts.

Gaiscioch Restores Moria to its Former Glory

Thank you to those who joined us as we explored Moria. This has been a tremendous adventure and we've had months of fun times as we explored the depths of Moria. Alas, our weekly adventures have come to a close but the final save is available to download on our Discord in the Return of Moria forum for any that would like to continue to explore from where we left off.

Join the Gaiscioch Server in Enshrouded

The anticipation is growing for what looks to be one of the most exciting new cooperative adventures of the year. We're so excited we booked a server for 3 months to host our own Enshrouded Adventure. If the game takes off and succeeds our expectations we will turn this adventure into a full-time permanent staple of our adventure lineup.
