Happy Birthday, Gaiscioch! This month we celebrate our 19th Birthday as we kick off the largest Charity Event and Livestream we've ever done. We have a lot of really cool things coming on the horizon and I look forward to sharing the next year with all of you. Happy 19th Birthday Gaiscioch!

Who would have thought such a simple idea of sharing Irish stories in an MMORPG could turn out to be such a huge thing. 19 years later we've shared our lives with over 8,000 people from 67 nations around the world. I am taken aback by the support, friendliness, and compassion this community displays every day. Thank you for making the second half of my life a much brighter time and one I can be proud of. I just wonder where the future will take us and what we might become. Thank you all for being a part of this journey.

Gaiscioch Community Conference November 7th at 3PM PT

Join us for the 19th Annual Gaiscioch Community Conference during our 10th Annual Gaiscioch #ExtraLife Charity Fundraiser Livestream. I know right :D. For the first time in our history both the conference and charity event land on the same weekend. Trust me. I was crazy already, ya don't gotta worry about me going crazier, lol. 

The Community Conference will be held at 3PM PT / 6PM ET on Twitch.tv/gaiscioch with an AMA session in Discord on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. We will review this past year and give a forecast as to what's coming next year and beyond. This is our big annual conference and this year you even have a chance to win some free games.

In Loving Memory Of
Karl "Gunghnir" Marble (1978-2020)

It is with a heavy heart that I report that our dear friend Gunghnir who joined us in RIFT, GW2, and ESO has passed on after a long battle with brain cancer. He was 41 and was just a few weeks away from his 42nd birthday. His brother sprigganUSA shared the unfortunate news with us.

Inside our community, he was close friends with Hosfi and was a Seaimpin de na Aracos Gorm. He joined us on Jun 11th, 2009 and was known in GW2 as locoslrak.1293 and in ESO as @locoslrak.

I wanted to take a moment to say congratulations to a few members this month for accepting their next credo and stepping into a new role in our family.

Guardians (Seaimpín)

The Gaiscioch Family Guardians are an advanced part of the Veteran Members group and serve as the front line of our family. They help newer members learn about the family, our website, and our belief system. They occasionally will need to help get conversations back on track, or report misdoing's to the family elders. They act as advisors, guidance providers, and overall protectors of the family name. By this time a member should be involved in the family for more than 6 months and has been an active attendee in family events. For those who prefer fellowship over leadership this is the last stop on the family tree. Members must prove their leadership ability to progress to the Leadership ranks through the accumulation of both Valor Points (Earned through leading events.) as well as earning Tokens of Valor from lower ranked members of the family.

The Witches Event is Back until Nov 3rd

Tamriel’s most ghoulish gala has returned! All ESO players can receive ghastly goodies and double XP during the Witches Festival. There are many ways to earn rewards, including destroying Witches Pikes in Western Skyrim’s Harrowstorms. The in-game event is now live and runs until Thursday, November 3. Season 5 Brings Interesting Changes and a Lot of Confusion

Season 5 kicked off with a whole lot of question marks. Nobody knew how the new territory war mechanic was actually going to work. The new regions and the removal of old regions placed the whole world in a panic as they scrambled to have a piece of land for themselves. 

Now the Territory War begins at 5:30PM PT in a pre-siege phase where you can set up outposts and field camps and assault gathering resources, docks, and ports to increase your claim on the main event at 6PM PT. Each house which owns a village in the region gains access to siege a town. The house with the most influence gains ruling house and can take center stage on the siege. (Kicking anyone who isn't them out of the battle.) Nodes of various colors weigh differently so a purple copper mine is worth more than a green copper mine. It adds another half an hour of frantic gameplay to the territory wars.

Outside of siege the new path system brings massive rewards to the mix. I was able to max out (1 to 30) a gold unit and a purple unit (1-20) with the unit exp tokens given out by the path system rewards. The seasonal rewards are similar to those of season 4 however you do have the ability to unlock some revamped season 1 skins. 

I highly recommend checking out season 5. There have been some great improvements that help get players on a level playing field quickly.

So it only took a year but our Creator Code finally works. Some of you may have seen certain Content Creator bundles available that you need a code to be able to buy. Well after tireless back and forth with Drew, My.Games, Booming, and I, we finally figured out the problem and got it resolved. You can now use the code: Gaiscioch to purchase those packs. Halloween Event is Live! Play the Vengeful Dead

Beholden to the witching season, the wicked Revenants have risen from their shallow graves to ravage our fair lands. Only by joining forces with other heroes can you hope to stem this undead invasion before it engulfs the frontier!

Play the Vengeful Dead Halloween PvE event before November 2 to earn special rewards for slaying Revenants! Select ‘Vengeful Dead’ from the Battle Screen (press ‘J’) to fight back these zombified assailants. Should you and your allies succeed in your efforts to neutralize the threat, you will receive rewards like crafting materials and temporary Jack-o-Lantern helmets!

Bless Unleashed PS4 Adventure

Join us Wednesdays in November for a romp in Bless Unleashed on PS4 at 3PM PT. Radiological, Burialsoup and I will be forming up Gaiscioch on PS4 to allow us to group up and play throughout the week. If anyone plans to check out this game on PS4 be sure to connect with us. 

There are plans to form up a PC adventure too when the PC version comes out but there is sadly no crossplay available on this one.

Genshin Impact

Surprise game of the year much? Everyone expected this to be another Mobile / PC dumpster fire like all of the others that came before it but Genshin Impact had other plans. This game is truly a wonderful game at the low price of free. 

Most of the pay-to-win claims are by people that don't understand you can purchase the loot boxes with in-game currency as well as real-world currency to unlock new characters. It runs much like Guild Wars 2's gem system. 

We will be streaming this game all November long on Fridays at 3PM PT. Be sure to download it and check it out on whatever device or platform you like. It is 100% cross-play enabled.
