Cead Mile Failte!Happy New Year Everyone! With 2020 upon us, we can see clearly that this year is about to be a massive one! As things come into focus we will see what they have to offer. See what I did there? ;) Dad jokes aside, 2020 is shaping up to be one awesome year. A wealth of new information has arrived regarding new MMORPGs and several MMORPGs we've been following. Let's go ahead and look into some of these new announcements and clarify your perspective of what we're looking at. Ok, I'll stop ;p. DirectoryGet InvolvedGaiscioch Family NewsSave the Date 2020As we kick off the new year I would like to outline some of the big events we'll be attending and covering. This year I've decided to change things up with my weekly event. For the past couple of years, my events have largely been focused on WvW and quite honestly it's becoming a chore to login and play WvW every week. I thought this year we could use a bit of spice in the lineup. As you guys know I have no legendaries, no world completion, no roller Beetle or Griffin or Skychunk as Kitty would say. There's so much of this game I have yet to explore and it's high time I step out of WvW and explore some of the other areas this wonderful game has to offer. In addition, I'm moving my Guild Wars 2 event back to Monday nights at 6 PM PT as it seems I had a better turnout there. So here's the new format of my event series for each month.
I'm hoping this new calendar lineup can help get more people involved and give us some variety in our activities. Eventually, WvW's revamp will arrive but while we wait I'd rather try to explore some other areas of the game I haven't been able to see.

Join us for Friday Night Raiding as we join forces with the Multi-Guild Raid Force. Be sure to head over to the Multi-Guild Raid discord server to sign up. As interest grows and we learn the fights we'll be breaking off our own event. The event takes place Friday Night at 6PM PT.
My weekly event is gonna take a hike over to Saturdays at 11AM PT to make room for the Friday Night Raids. Instead of tackling dungeons we will be moving from zone to zone completing some of the pesky quests we can find. Take a glance at our schedule to see which alt you want to tag along. We will be running as multiple groups so we can all get credit. Let's explore World of Warcraft together!

Since the launch of Conqueror's Blade we've grown to exceed the size of a single house. We created a system that allows our house to grow to a size of 300 people. In Season 1, we held the village of Westweg for 3 months and raised it to level 6. The new season is upon us and our plan is being set in motion. This season we are going to expand to include Mainstadt as well as Westweg. A massive alliance war is about to break out in Osteria between Vindication, ElSindicate, and RoyaltyOfLoyalty vs Defiance, Crusaders, and NewWorldOrder. That's an impressive lineup of alliances each home to 3 power houses. It's gonna get real hot in here and we need to be ready for a fight if it arrives on our doorstep.
To add more spice to the mix, the new Legion system rallies the players without a house to fight for a random fief. This means we will occasionally be attacked by the public. We have worked hard to forge as many friendly relationships as we can to help us weather this storm but as we saw last season sometimes being non-hostile to one party may make you hostile to another. We will be attacked over the next 8 weeks and we will need to defend our home if we hope to keep it.
Gaiscioch will take control of Westweg, while ArachDubh takes control of Mainstadt. Tuatha will be our new recruit's house which will funnel people into ArachDubh or Gaiscioch as they hit 250 prestige. We will also remove any Tuatha that does not show progress over the course of 14 days. All members who are registered to Gaiscioch.com will be welcome to join us in Gaiscioch regardless of if they have earned 250 prestige. If you are new or returning and are a registered member search for "Gaiscioch" in the house finder and request to join.
If Mainstadt or Westweg is attacked we will fight for them relentlessly attacking anyone that tries to take control of our fiefs. We will cost them a great deal of time and resources trying to defend that chunk of land. We are starting to field between 10-20 players each territory war and have worked with Meaghs of Relic to come up with some pretty solid defenses. We managed to drive both MERCompany and Hightower out of Westweg the past few territory wars using this defense and stood strong against multiple waves of cavalry charges. While we don't know if it will hold against a zerg, it has held against a small warforce. One thing is for certain, it's time for us to stand and fight and be ready for the storm coming on our horizon.
Here's what we'll be working toward:
If you liked Albion Online or Exile this one might be for you. This little post-apocalyptic MMORPG is set in a blend of wastelands and cyberpunk. Yeah, I know, never would have seen those two blended together but hey! Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout combined sounds cool am I right? This one places fog of war as one of it's key mechanics allowing both NPCs and players to sneak up and attack you. It's got a whole range of crafting and building up cities gameplay as well as raiding and dungeons. If there is a way to flag yourself PvE only this game looks to have a lot going for it. If they ignore that mark it will likely go the way of every other forced PVP game we've seen crop up in the last decade.
We finally got a preview trailer and discord for Magic the Gathering's new MMORPG from the creators of the Neverwinter MMO. This MMORPG is set in the Magic universe but functions as an action MMO, not a card game. Group sizes are only 3 people which I find disheartening but we still have no word on the clan system. While it is unlikely this one will work itself out to be a chapter, it certainly will be an adventure we explore.
This little gem many of us have tested over the past few years has gotten a bit of a direction shift. It's no longer centered on full loot forced PvP. They have integrated a way of being PvE friendly while keeping contested areas as PvP. They have also gone from realism to a bit of a fantasy twist. If you haven't seen New World lately, I encourage you to give it a look. I will be trying it out and will form up a clan if you guys want to play it. Now that it's not entirely focused on PvP and we can even experience PvE sieges it looks more in line with what you guys tend to enjoy.

Over the last couple of years our staff has dwindled to next to nothing. We have had a total of 10 authors this year that wrote 180 articles. 152 of those were written by me. Compared to 2 years ago where we had 219 articles by 14 authors. We currently have 4 active authors. We are in dire need of more content if we want to keep this magazine going and I simply can't do it alone.
If your willing to help us keep this flame alive please join us for the January Magazine Meeting on Sat. Jan. 11th at 2:00PM PST and we will walk you through the process. You don't even need to be that great at writing, we have some awesome editors that can help you along the way. By writing for our magazine I can provide you with free game codes to give you early access to several upcoming games and can put you in touch with game developers so you can ask those burning questions you've always wanted to ask. This is also a great way to build a portfolio and show off your writing talents. Even if you prefer to write fiction we have a place to publish your short stories.
This magazine is ours and was created as a platform to have your passions shared with the world. We publish articles on Art, Music, Film, Games, Hobbies, Crafts, Cooking and more. If you can dream it we can publish it. We can only keep this going with your help.

As many of you knew I hit the streams pretty aggressively in 2019. We pushed well past 1000 followers which was our goal and now are creeping up on 1,100. This year I plan to experiment a bit with our streams. I will be migrating all of our "Event" streams to the Gaiscioch Adventures brand and will be putting the Siege War livestream on hiatus for a bit. PlayStation Adventures will remain a 5 day a week livestream for the time being but I may reduce it to 3 days a week in the future. I am planning on having a couple of longer streams every month that I want to experiment with long play sessions (3-5 Hour streams). Overall I plan on experimenting a bit with our streams this year to try to find that sweet spot. I also want to try to build some more tools to make watching our streams more interactive and fun. But enough of my rambling here's our 2020 lineup.
