I created a build for the Warrior using the elite spec Berserker to pump up condition damage. I have been running around with it a bit and so far I've been pretty happy with the results. Just thought I would share, in case there were some other Warriors out there who are interested in running a Berserker build and liked the idea of something other than Power/Precision/Ferocity.

If you are interested, please take a look at it. I would love any feedback/tweaks that anyone would like to provide.

Interesting.  I've been looking for another warrior PVE build since the new update.  Thanks for this!  Let us know how it turns out.

I was having a ton of login issues tonight, so I wasn't able to make any significant progress with it. I did tweak things a little bit with the changes to the cost of Elite skills that was implemented yesterday evening. (Since unlocking the elite skills now require fewer points total.)

I don't have sinister gear currently as I never did enough of the Charged Quartz thing. So, I'm currently using Rampager's to compensate. It's not the same values, (more precision than condition damage) but it should get pretty close.

Right now I'm debating going one of two ways on the conditions: Sword applies bleed by nature of its basic attack chain. Using the trait to cause bleed on critical could replace that (if precision is high enough) and allow for something like Axe or Mace which also apply additional conditions. I will have to field test and see which wields more favorable results...

Apparently, MetaBattle no longer supports Open World character builds. I'm not sure if they're going to remove the page or not, so I'm going to remove the link to it and stick with the GW2Skills link for now at least. I may write up a blog post or something to give it a more permanent home with additional details besides just the gear and skills layout.

My I ask why you use Rifle (a physical damage weapon other than its primal burst) and Discipline that has more PvP focused traits when you could be using Longbow and Tactics (with burning arrows trait to make longbow put out tons of burning)?

I think something like this would perform better as a condi build. Powerful Synergy = much more Fire Aura uptime = even more burning.

The rifle is mostly just because I like rifles better than longbows. Critical strike applying bleed plus a large amount of precision may allow for a good application of bleed stacks. I don't disagree that Longbow would be better because of the fire stacks, but I get enough longbow on my ranger. But considering the goal of the build, you're right. I think I should probably have the bow be the default and create a rifle variant for myself just for the fun.

It seemed that Discipline was more appropriate because:

  • Crack shot for rifle (admittedly with Longbow being better and should be the primary for this build, this is sort of wobbly)
  • "Vengeful Return" is a huge benefit when roaming solo PvE. If you get downed, pop vengeance and kill something (anything) to rally.
  • Destruction of the Empowered will help against upper tier and boss creatures that have perpetual boons on them.
  • Burst Mastery will give a DPS boost. Increased Adrenaline generation from specializations, plus fast attacks, plus popping into Zerk mode more often seems it would get significant benefit from a Burst damage increase.

This was my thinking at the time. Not sure if it will bear out, but it seemed to make sense when I was theorycrafting it.

I've also been flip-flopping with the notion of adding Sundering Leap for the Leap Finisher for the torch's Fire Field.

The good news is, there's lots of options to try. Please let me know what you're seeing if you try this, and thanks very much for the feedback!
