Hello everyone,
I know I have just recently joined the Gaiscioch Family and I hope it isn't inappropriate of me to do, but I wish to share my thoughts about Gaiscioch based on my very new presence within it.
The first time I heard of Gaiscioch, is the day update 1.6 for ESO came out. I was going stir crazy not being able to play the game I love and ended up finding it the perfect time to get to another game I had wanted to play for quite a while, Guild Wars 2. Now, of course the time I purchase the game, download the client and finally get to play, I could have logged in my ESO client:), but that is beside what I am trying to share here today.
After buying the Digital version of the game, I proceeded on the Guild Wars 2 website, to get a basic idea of the game, class, race and so forth, as ESO is the only MMO I ever played. I wandered on the forum and one of the post I found, was one of Foghladha.2506. He was offering help to new players and a welcome kit to get them started with the basics. I honestly just ignored the post replies that were questioning his intents, as for me, anyone that would take time out of their personal gaming time, guild time, RL time, to offer help and advice, is truly awesome and I am glad to see what Guild, group, family they may be part of, as if the majority of the members are half as caring as that player, then it is definitely a group I would like to be part of, if I can.
I really do appreciate the time Foghladha took, once I finally was able to create my first character, to talk with me and answer my many questions. He had sent two welcome kits by mistake and did not want me to send one back either. He did not make me feel like I was bothering him but rather like me talking with him about the game or any questions I had, was welcome. To me, this is great and tells me a lot about a person, although I never met them nor know anything about them. I did inquire about the Guild he was in, asking if it was possible for me to join. I won't lie, I am very happy to be here! And I was thrilled to see there was a ESO Chapter as well:).
I have joined the ESO chapter as well and been able to participate in a few events, getting to know some of the members a little bit.
Everyone is very considerate of the other members and I love that. Although I am very new to the family, I am made to feel that I matter as much as those who been here for years and my own experience with the game and my input are welcome, as if as valuable as those who perhaps have more gaming/mmo experience then I may have.
Now see, for me, those core values that seem to flow within the veins of everyone in the family, are second nature and are quite important in my life. It always has been difficult for me to find others that seemed to think and feel the same, about human interactions and the way each individual should naturally be treated, regardless of their background, experience, history, abilities or disabilities, etc. I don't know... I guess I am more of a dreamer in this world, seeing the good in others just like I see the potential and the good in the clients I work with, instead of their disabilities and negative behaviors.
I am not sure it is quite clear to anybody where I am going with this, as thoughts get all jumbled up in my mind...
I'm simply trying to say thank you to everyone for making me feel a part of the family from the beginning and thank you for the countless hours so many of you put into Gaiscioch to make it what it is today.
I truly appreciate all of it. And will gladly offer my help, knowledge or lack thereof, time and effort whenever it might become needed.
You guys are awesome! Thank you!
This truly has been brightening up my days that have been a little too much on the dark side lately.
