Yes, unfortunately some gamers never unpack their suitcases or their trunks when they branch out into a new game and thusly never establish any real roots with our Family.
Isn't that case with most guilds and games? I always found that most players were interested in my guild for that one particular game and what we could do for them in that game, than they were about joining a lasting community. Granted I made many mistakes, but we only managed to hold onto a core of about 4-5 players and even that fizzled over time, as more and more games came out and we found that our interests started to split.
For me, this is actually the first guild that I've stuck around with for more than one game (or not been kicked out of), but I still haven't figuratively unpacked my suitcase, either. I don't think that my case is unique, I just think its a numbers game... the larger the initial base, the larger the constant core. Although, now that I said that, I don't consider myself as a part of the core, at all, that would be some of the Elders (it seems like a lot of Elders have mosied on down the road).
Well, nuts, I had a point to this post, but now I forgot what it was. /sigh mental life distractions, but uhm, well maybe we should just get back to the puns, because I'll never get a good grasp on what I was going on about.
