Greetings Everyone,

Over the past few weeks i've build some systems to help maintain the Objective Based claiming method we know as "Conquests". I have reactivated objective based claiming for both RIFT and ESO using the new system. I will be watching for oddities over the next few months but for the most part I think i've built a system that will be easier to maintain as we roll into chapter 6 and beyond.

A Few Notes for Event Leaders

Claiming Dungeons (in ESO & RIFT)

You can Now Claim Dungeon runs using the basic Conquest system. You will claim the "Dungeon Boss", "Dungeon Stage" or "Dungeon Objective" for each of the objectives you successfully conquer. Then at the end of the dungeon you can claim the Dungeon Bonus if you complete 100%. In some cases such as in RIFT there are different Boss Objectives based on which type of Dungeon you are running. This is because Raid Dungeons do not scale to players and classic raids are way easier than modern raids.

Objective Based Claiming is for SUCCESSFUL Objectives ONLY.

Do not claim objectives that you did not complete.

4 Gaiscioch Members Must Be Involved

You can not claim objectives that 4 or more Gaiscioch were not involved in taking.

Co-Leaders

Only our most seasoned event leaders can assign co-leaders to their events. A Co-Leader is in charge of their own separate raid group that lives under the event umbrella. The Main Leader of the event instructs each of their Co-Leaders what to do, but the Co-Leaders run independently. This is widely used in Major Public Community Events and Siege Warfare. This SHOULD NOT be used for assistants and players helping run the event. This is for Multiple Raid Group Activities only (20+ People Involved).

Do Not Claim Others Leaders Victories

You can only claim victories for activities you were leading. If another commander takes something and you ride their coat tail you can not claim this victory as your own.

Use Objective Based Conquest or Timed Campaign

You are welcome to use whichever is most convenient for you. Do not try to use both for the same event. This is an Either/OR system. The Time Based Events run on our base calculation of honor points per hour. The Objective based system runs on an estimated objectives per hour for the group size intended for the content. In some cases it may be more beneficial to run your event as a Timed Campaign, while in other situations it might be best to run as a Objective Based Conquest. This decision is up to each individual event leader.

The Battlelog

What is it and why is it so ugly!? The Battlelog button is for event leaders that livestream their events. This page is meant to be included in an overlay on OBS to display real time objective progress on your livestream. Non-Streamers do not need to worry about this button. It's simply a convenience for livestreamer commanders who wish to display their victories as they happen.

I've also gone through all 3 games and synced the Leadership and Fellowship point values across all games to be more in line with each other. Some got reduced some were increased.

I also added Outposts to Guild Wars 2 for the EOTM Castle outposts (2 on each castle) that are found inside the outer wall but outside the inner wall.

Point Values and Objective List can be seen at:

http://www.gaiscioch.com/about/fellowship_ranks.html

I've also made a change to how we claim world bosses in Guild Wars 2.

There is no longer a "Champion" creature to claim. There are now 2 tiers of World Bosses.

1. Minor World Boss - These are the easy ones found around Tyria that do not have raid mechanics tied to them. IE: Shadow Behemoth, Jormag,

2. Major World Boss - These are the raid tier world bosses that require coordination. IE Tequatl, Shatterer, Triple Trouble, Mordremoth.

Easy way: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Event_timers Timers in Pink are Major World Bosses, Timers in Blue are Minor World Bosses. Dragon Stand would be a Major World Boss.

Because I know kitty will ask. You claim all of the events that lead up to the world boss spawn. This World Boss objective is claimed instead of the Assassination Objective that appears with the objective. World Bosses typically have custom name plates, are uniquely named, and spawn at set times.

Guild Missions

I've also revalued Guild Missions as they were originally designed around the original tier system. Now they are more inline with the current guild mission system.

One thing I constantly admire with Gaiscioch and this website is the communication and the organization, with processes and procedures.  Every time I come here to the forums to just poke around and read, I end up learning so much.  Thank you for this explanation. :-)
