Greetings Everyone,
Over the years I've done my very best to try to cast our community in the right light using the Gaelic language. Some of the names in our ranks were taken from Middle Irish while others I had to find any translation possible to convert it to Gaelic. As many of you know there are 7 versions of Gaelic and our rank system uses about 5 of them. In an effort to make our ranking more consistent and in line with where we'd like it to be I've gone through and built a conversion table to Modern Irish. While I'd love to keep it all Middle Irish, I haven't found a reliable source for translation. I'd rather us be consistent than a hodgepodge array of butchered Irish and Scottish Gaelic. So here's the translation table we're going to be converting too. Point values all remain the same other than Laoch. I'll get to that below.

Going Proper
One of the other things that's bothered me over the years is the general nature of our ranks. Calling GmaFog an Ard Tiarna is essentially calling her a High Lord. In the new ranks I'm devising a way that if she chooses to say shes a Lady on her profile she'll become a Ard Bantiarna Which is a High Lady. Instead of calling everyone the masculine form it will shape around their gender if they set one.
Creating Equality
At the top of our current structure the current Taidhleoir rank required a whole lot of leadership to acquire. While my original plan was to make this only open to leaders, over the years I've come to the understanding that supporters are just as important to leaders and in the end I want them both to be able to ascend to that top rank. I don't want to make my players like Nona feel she has to lead to ascend to that rank. So what I'm doing is making the point requirement accumulative between both Leadership and Fellowship by making use of the Core Points value (Leadership + Fellowship). Instead of 80,000 valor points and 25,000 fellowship points. It will just require 100,000 Core Points which can be divided any way you like between Leadership or Fellowship. Thus making it obtainable by leaders and supporters.
Warlord Rank Modification
Because a Green Dragon sounds so much better than a Green Lady I've decided to swap the Totems to be based on time, and the Colors to be signifiers of achievement on the battlefield. Leaders will gain colors to their totems as they bring home victories.

Devotion Ranks
As members mature in the Gaiscioch Family the ascend the devotion ranks. Devotion ranks are based on the length of time a member has been active within the community. If a member stops being an active participant in the community their clock stops until they return and become active again. As members are never removed from community unless they expressly request it or violate our code of conduct members are free to explore other guilds and games at any time and return to us without losing rank or progress. The Devotion Rank allows members to continue to grow even past the rank of Laoch.
