Hello all, I'm hoping for advice on a build which meets this criteria:

1. Soloing as much of the game as possible. Real life prevents me from having dedicated blocks of time to group.
2. I'm probably 25% "twitchy" with character movement. Old age and several injuries to hands results in being slow to dodge, block, interrupt.
3. Around 75% reaction-mobile. I can get out of red circles about 75% of the time.
4. Any combat style will do, but I prefer melee to casting. If there is a casting build which if far superior, I will use it.
5. Hoping to solo bosses at my level and maybe a couple of levels higher without dying often
6. I own the Imperial version of the game, with Explorer upgrade.

A link to an existing build would help alot, but I can study from scratch if I need to.
Your recommendations are appreciated.

Thank You!!

feel like a broken record but...magicka based Templar, jabs is primary attack that is also an AoE, and also heals you. add a couple buffs, a great group heal and one of the best executes you are a soloing machine (i rolled a second one solely to gain champion points quickly).  if you act now we'll also throw in a great charge, a great shield and the only weapons you need are 2 swords and maybe a resto staff.

here is a pretty good guide (it's due to be updated this week)

the other great thing is if you do get time to group up you'll make a decent healer or DPS'er

There's actually still a lot of choices that fit into those parameters.

Some general suggestions:

Unless you are doing the high level dungeons, having the highest dps isn't going to be a huge factor. Yes, higher dps will help you kill things faster, but dying a lot isn't fun. It's ok to sacrifice some dps for more survivability.

-A a sword and shield in main and a resto staff in oiff bar will give you a ton of survivability. You'll give up some dps, so it'll take longer to kill things, but it'll give you the ability to live through missing some of the red circles and take a few hits.

-Heavy armor will give you more armor, but again there's a trade-off of generally less dps. Using crafted gear though you can use whatever mix of heavy/light/medium. I would recommend using a mix of the three for leveling so that you'll have access to passives for all three.

From there, what class do you want to play?  All of them have good builds that will allow you some room to make a few mistakes. I recommend looking through http://deltiasgaming.com/ and go to class builds. He has some good leveling builds. He has a huge amount of champion points that help. so I wouldn't expect to get the numbers he does, but it's still a good starting point and from there you can tweak your build to suit your play style.

One thing you might look into if you don't like Templar is running either a NB or DK build with 2 hand and bow for your off weapon.  As a stamina build, it offers you a few things:

-Cleave offers a damage shield, which stacks based on how many things you hit.  It can be used effectively to minimize if not completely stop all damage you take from normal attacks.
-Both have some other options for healing, especially NB which can heal itself repeatedly as each enemy in a group dies.
-Both have additional options for damage output in a physical up close style.
-Bow gives you ranged attacks for some situations, DK can pull enemies to them, and NB can use one filler spell at range to cause damage.  After all, certain enemies like to hide at range in lava or otherwise terrible places for one to go.
-The extra stamina really helps if you are working on your rolls, bashes, and blocks.  *Roll and bash assigned to keys helps a lot in my opinion too.*

Imperial is a superb choice due to the health and stamina buffs... but any race works for this.

--There are good casting builds, but you don't need one to be successful.

i would say easiest class to play is the Templar magicka base.  like verve said first skill to get is puncturing.  after that well everything should be easy in pve.  puncture is probably one of the best aoe single target skill out there. plus it heals you a bunch... can even run that with sword and board for the extra defense..  heavy armor 5 pieces with 2 light... till you get to about lvl 12-15 any gear will do after that you just need to ask any of us on there we can hook you up with crafted set to bump up however you want to run you toon..

With the patch I've gone all Magicka based DPS as a Nightblade. I'm usually in the middle of everything melee or distance. Really sick DPS. Additionally, I am able to swap out and run Tank or even healer... Love this version of this build.  I'll try to get it up for you or anyone that may want.
