Greetings Gaischioch!

Jjrdragon here, or Jeff if you are so inclined.

I am a recent transplant to the guild on the Ebonheart Pact. First off I would like to say thank you for those who we have met and who have made us feel so welcome. Asharei and I are married IRL as an aside.

I am excited about the guild and the new opportunities and my goal is to advance within the family through various means so that I can begin to add events to the calendar and become a bigger part of the family for late night gamers (8 to midnight or so Pacific).

In the meantime I have challenges to that goal. All the currently scheduled official events happen early in the day or end by 6:30pm Pacific on the weekdays.

Honestly Ash and I are lucky if we get off work by 6:30pm Pacific.

Jairone was very kind to log on and lead some undaunted Challenges for us on Wednesday late. We had a blast. We are perfectly fine running small groups with guild members but if there are no leaders present it doesn't count as participation.

I would humbly request help and guidance as to how I can get around this hurdle to progress. I do know that many events happen on the weekend as well and that is good, but weekends are not always free of obligations either as we all know.

I am the angry panda icon if you see me in Vox ;)

Until next time,

Jjrdragon

I would love to help as much as I can, but I am east coast and that is well past my bed time :).  But, even though events might not be pre-planned and scheduled on the event calendar doesn't mean you can't call out in guild and ask people to join you in doing something.  I understand you might not get to post events yet as the leader, but most likely someone in the group can post it on the site for you to claim credit.  All it takes to start leading events is 1000 Fellowship points and 1 week being active.  Also, don't be afraid to ask guildies to group up for something you might not normally group for.  For me, this can be hard as I do enjoy lots of the PvE content as a solo player. I like the challenge of taking down dolmens and public dungeons solo.  If you like doing these things, and even if you like doing them solo or just with your wife, just give a call out in guild and try to get a few more people to join and someone that can post the event for you.  This will get you to the point of leading your own events quickly.  Don't get discourage and keep pestering people.  I will openly admit that one of the challenges in ESO is getting groups together since such a large chunk of the game can be handled solo.  Keep at it, and you'll soon start getting the groups and before you know you will start leading them.

Welcome Jjrdragon,

Just realize what you see on the calendar are our larger community events. They only represent 10% of the total activity being claimed each and every day. Just hit up guild chat. Things don't need to be scheduled to happen. In fact most of the time things aren't scheduled that happen. Scheduling just allows us to plan and show the world we're out there doing something consistently. it's not even a sliver of what we actually do. Once you hit Lorgair you can lead your own events.

Just to clarify a bit, as a Lorgair you can Schedule and Lead events, Lorgair rank is 7 days in the Family and 1000 Family Honor Points.  FHP can be earned several ways.

One of our popular events is Daily Non-Vet Undaunted runs.  We tried to get a West Coast friendly time (7PM vs. the current 7AM) kicked off but it did not seem to gain much momentum.  There is some conflict with AvA events at the same time, but if you want we can fire 'em back up, I'll post them till you make Lorgair, maybe go over the in's and out's (see how I made a western reference there) then it's Jjr to the Lead.  Let me know.

Thank you for that Verve  that answered multiple questions! We ran with Verve and Volaer last night and talked about getting runs together for West coast folk. 8pm might be a good start time from what I am gauging so far. We also invited 2 new members, another couple oddly enough, who we know IRL to the guild who get on late like we do. If there is anyone out there who is also a late night PST player we would love to meet you. I thank we can really start to get some events rolling for everyone in that time frame.

I personally am on east coast time so it is difficult for me to be on late except Fridays and Saturdays. If you see me on ANYTIME and need people for an event or would like someone to run something please send me a whisper ingame or jump in vox channel I am parked in and we will get something happening.  In vox I am "CamJr" and ingame I am @Camer.

Jjrdragon - I have the same issue.  I am on PST and most events occur when I am at work or having dinner.  Plus I work weekends, so most weekend events are out for me. I keep trying to get an event scheduled to run, but I have been working horrendous hours and dealing with Shingles (going on 3.5 months of not being able to wear a shirt comfortably - btw I'm only 36),  that my playtime has been reduced significantly.  Usually summer is slower at work and too hot for agility trials so I may be a little more free in July and can try to schedule something.

If I schedule an event it would be most likely Thursday or Friday around 8pm PST if that seems like a time that would work?

I'm in england so PST is outside my time zone for most activities you want to be in or run but i'm sure that there are plenty who can run or participate with you this is a great community just do not be afraid too ask for help and advise.  We all have too start somewhere and the family is the best place for it
